The Ben & Jerry's Vermont Ice Cream factory lies nestled within the beautiful Green Mountains of Vermont.  Home to the world-famous ice cream, Vermont is a great family vacation destination.  Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream colorful legacy began with humble beginnings in 1978 at a renovated gas station. Ben & Jerry's has become well-known around the world for their delectable frozen dairy desserts, eco-friendly focus, and tongue-in-cheek humor. While visiting the Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream Factory, be sure to stop by and see the "Flavor Graveyard" of retired flavors, playground, picnic area, gift shop, and after the factory tour enjoy ice cream on the relaxing patio.  Over the years, Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream has broken several food-related records, such as creating the world's biggest Baked Alaska and the largest ice cream sundae.  During the winter months, Ben and Jerry's offers guided snowshoeing trips.  It is a great way to burn off that extra scoop of ice cream and a ton of fun.

The tour is in three fun parts. It start’s in the Cow Over the Moon Theater for a quick film on the history of Ben & Jerry’s. Next, the tour travels to a glassed-in mezzanine for a birds eye view of the production room, showing you how they make their delicious ice cream. Finally, it’s off to the Flavoroom for a tasting of the Flavor of the Day. After that, you’re on your own to explore the rest of the factory compound.
